OUR METHODOLOGY

Our tried and tested brand building process results in high-quality, sustainable brands. This methodology is made up of three phases, namely:

BRAND

To kick-start the process we will facilitate a 4-hour Free Dive workshop. We spend time understanding you, your business, your ambitions, imagining what your brand could be like, allowing us to put crucial strategic brand foundations in place. This allows us to develop your Brand Blueprint, a 1-page piece of foundational brand strategy. This is your holy grail, guiding all brand and marketing-related decisions for your business. This includes defining the brand positioning (what you stand for), target market, competitor set, how your benefits stack up to the category, and key message to take to market.

From there, we’ll develop the visual identity of your brand to ensure that it matches your ambitions. Built off the brand blueprint, we will develop three strategically reflective and objective logo options for you to choose from. Once approved, we will develop a comprehensive Brand Style Guide in which will define the look of your brand. This guides all internal and customer-facing design and communication, including correct logo usage, the brand’s colour palette, typography, use of imagery and general design style. This document that will ensure your brand always looks consistent and professional.

BUILD

Once we have your brand strategy and visual identity defined, we can move into the Build phase. This covers developing a group of considered and consistent marketing assets or “touch points”, which can be described as any element that facilitates an engagement between a brand and a customer. This includes your packaging, point-of sale, brochureware, corporate stationery, activation and event collateral, and importantly, your website. We’ll tackle each and every build project individually, ensuring all elements are aligned and consistent before going out to market. This will maximise the impact of the launch campaign and improve success rates.

BIND

From here, we work on connecting your new brand to your newly identified target markets through an advertising campaign of sorts. A Communication Strategy  tells you where best to spend your available budget to reach your market and achieve results. Your budget, objectives, target market and time pressure will influence the communication strategy.

Based on the communication strategy, we will develop all the creative and advertising material required. We’ll write the PR press releases, we’ll design the Google ads, we’ll develop the first month of your social media content. Finally, we will be in a strong position to run a 6-month campaign to get your brand and message out there. Once the campaign is live, we will monitor the campaign effectiveness through monthly performance reviews where as a team we’ll dive into the reports, discuss learnings and how best to optimise and improve the campaign results. Our involvement doesn’t stop here, we follow through ensuring that your start-up brand is optimised and able to maximise every opportunity during those early stages of your brand lifecycle.
